I recently had an opportunity to unwind at the Lime Tree Hotel in Gurgaon, and it was a mixed bag, to say the least. While the staff was incredibly nice and helpful, bending over backwards to meet our needs, I couldn’t overlook the hotel's rather corporate vibe—definitely felt more like a money minting machine than a cozy getaway. The room was quite spacious, featuring a comfortable bed, a flat-screen TV, and a private bathroom that sparkled with cleanliness—definitely a plus for someone like me who appreciates a tidy environment. I also enjoyed the peace of mind that came with the safety deposit box and the lovely balcony for some fresh air. I must share, for those in need of convenience, they provide a paid airport shuttle and offer a delightful à la carte breakfast daily. While I personally missed the charm you typically find in eco-resorts back in New Zealand and Fiji, this hotel serves its purpose for a quick stay. If you're traveling with friends looking for a straightforward, clean spot close to the hustle of the city, Lime Tree might just fit the bill.
